Founded in 2011 by Dr. Rafik Kodsy, we began as a mobile veterinary service and expanded in 2012 to our full-service clinic at 670 Taunton Road East. Our mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality veterinary care that supports the physical and emotional well-being of your pets.​

We went to Morningstar Vet Hospital today for the first time with our cat Edgar who needed his blood checked. We found Dr. Kodsy to be very thorough and our cat was very relaxed with him. Frequently Ask Questions

How often should you assess your pet's health?
Annual wellness exams are typically recommended for healthy adult pets, while pets that suffer from health conditions as well as puppies and kittens would benefit from more frequent wellness exams.
How to tell if an animal is suffering?
For example, we can often tell an animal is suffering from the way they cry out, whimper, writhe, or start favoring an injured body part.
What are the signs of sick animals?
1. Lethargy (an animal laying in your yard for hours on end)
2. Uncoordinated movements (weaving back and forth, or tilting their head in one direction)
3. Unprovoked aggression (many times animals will growl at their own tale, or a bush)
How do you get rid of ticks on animals?
Twisting them off your dog is the best removal method, and we also sell handy tick-removal devices to make this easier.
How do I prepare my pet for surgery?
Your pet may need to fast for 8–12 hours before surgery. We’ll provide you with detailed pre-operative instructions based on your pet’s procedure and health condition.
