You may invite your spouse, common-law partner, siblings, children, or parents to visit you in Canada if you are an international working personnel or student. The Family Visitor Visa is a formal document provided by the Canadian Visa Office that is kept in your family member’s passport as proof that he or she has fulfilled the requirements for temporary visitor admission to Canada.
Before leaving your native country, you may apply for a Canadian Family Visitor Visa at the Consulate, Canadian Embassy, or the Visa Application Center serving the country of your legal residence or citizenship. You can complete this process while applying for your study or work permit. Get in touch with Caravan2Canada Immigration Services Inc., where you get the right advice needed for making an informed decision, helping you and your family members to settle in Canada.
If you are already a student or working professionally in Canada and would like to invite your family to join you, please send the following necessary documentation to support their Family Visitor Visa applications:
You are required to extend an invitation on behalf of your family member. Include the information below:
• The name, address, & phone number of your relative
• The birthdate of your relative
• Your name, phone numbers (home and workplace), and address
• A request for your relative to visit you in Canada along with information about the duration you want them to be here
• Your Study Permit’s copy
• Your Work Permit’s copy (if you possess one)
• Your Enrollment Letter’s Confirmation from the registrar’s office
Required only if you’re having your spouse or kid and want them to stay with you while you work or study.
• A copy of your bank statements from the last four months
• A letter outlining any scholarships you may be eligible for and their exact value
• If you work in Canada, a statement outlining your pay is required
• A letter from the sponsor, if you have one, outlining their financial situation
• Records describing any further financial aid you may have
Despite the fact that your spouse is qualified to apply for a work permit and may do so once they arrive, the probability of this extra revenue won’t be taken into account by CIC in Canada when evaluating financial assistance.
If want a family member (other than your spouse like your siblings or parents) to come and stay, they must provide documentation (such as pay stubs, bank statements, etc.) proving they have enough money to cover their expenses while they are in Canada. Additionally, they must exhibit a strong attachment with their native country (business, family, job, etc.).
Even if your family member is traveling from a nation whose people do not require a visa to visit Canada, we strongly advise that you submit an invitation letter and the other necessary paperwork to them. Immigration officers generally question tourists when they arrive regarding the reason for their visit. If they have your letter of invitation, this process can be made simpler.
